? Mimi 12/23 What the heck is going on with my meter!?

Oh great...I read your post, then looked at your SS - it says 'she NOT' reduced...when in fact you did...good job!

Just a little typo. I hope Mimi behaves herself today...

Um- freestyle just said 73- when not even an hour ago it was 217.
I tested it against the Relion I still have and they read her at 265!???

oh man... my head hurts...
I also just tested my own BG and got 116 on Relion and 92 on freestyle which is telling me it’s working.
Can her BG jump like that!???

Just tested again on freestyle- got 200... wow so is this a thing now with the meter- it can have a screwy test strip?

Oh does air exposure mess them up? I don’t always close the lid so it’s easier to grab them

So some of these things aren’t as important bc we are testing cats eg test strip code -
Most of are using meters that don’t require calibration. Washing and drying hands aren’t as critical bc we are not testing ourselves but obviously they should be clean anyway bc are poking our cats!! Hope this sheds some light on strips!

I used to preload my glucometer and have a strip out and in the tray...then I realized I was getting values that did not match up at all. So, after losing my mind I figured out that it did make my test read a lot lower than they should have
