I don't know anything about Levemir so I can't help with dosing. (actually, can't really help with Lantus either:rolleyes:)

Hope Baby slides down slowly and safely for you.

Yup -- you did the right thing. Acro or not, numbers in the 30s indicate that you need to reduce the dose. What I'm seeing is a bounce after the drop into the 30s and the bounce likely clearing toward the end of the PM cycle yesterday.

I'm tagging @Wendy&Neko so she can take a look.

It's early yet but Baby just might like the levemir a whole lot better.

Be on your toes. With the switch its a bit unpredictable right now.

I am glad you held the 7 units. Try holding it at least 6 cycles for the depot to build. Unless of course she goes diving into low green again. The antibodies might be confused by the initial change in insulin types, but they learn quickly. As Wes pointed out yesterday, it's quite common to see an initial reaction to an insulin switch in an IAA kitty, but that reaction may or may not last.

Ravan isn't acro but I switched to Levemir a few months ago. He went from 1.25 units to .75 on Levemir in 5 days he dropped to 54 at amps I think it was just his body adjusting to the new Insulin.
You can look at Ravan's SS where I switched to Levemir & see how his glucose was adjusting. I'm glad I switched ,less Insulin & he does seem to be doing a bit better.

    Have a Great weekend! :)
