OnlyNaturalPet.com has a new air-dried food called MaxMeat. It's grain-free and supposedly low carbohydrate. The ingredients look decent: Chicken, Chicken Liver, Chicken Heart, Pumpkin, Inulin (from Chicory), Vegetable Glycerin, Ground Chicken Bone, .... [bunch of vitamins and minerals here] It has a jerky like texture instead of being hard and crunchy like regular dry food.

Other than being pricey for the only one (small) sized bag available, would this food be suitable for a diabetic? Maybe as an occasional treat for those cats who can't quite get over their hard crunchy addiction? The product info does say it water can be added to the food if needed.

No re-hydrating the food would be as bad as dry with regards to maintaining adequate hydration of the cat.
