Hi, one of my boys has been diagnosed with Diabetes at the beginning of April. We have done 2 Curves thru the Vet and have to go back for a 3rd at the end of the month... does this get any easier?? I love my cats, but I also have other worries and my budget is tight... Help! I would appreciate any suggestions. Oh, my other cat (Benji's littermate Buckey) is hyperthyroid..

    Welcome to FDMB.
There are low cost over the counter low carbohydrate foods which are as good and less expensive than the prescription diet, such as Friskies pates (except Mixed Grill). Cat Info has more info on feline nutrition.
If you home test the blood glucose with an inexpensive human glucometer such as the WalMart ReliOn Confirm or Confirm Micro, or the Target Up and Up, you won't need to do curves at the vet. See my signature link Glucometer Notes for more details.
