New Wellness CORE "air dried" food

    Though I know dry food isn't the best, this may be an option for those with dry-food addicts. How do we figure out carbs? http://brands.wellnesspetfood.com/core/cats/air-dried-adult-cat-original-turkey-and-chicken

    Well if you just use the standard simply way of subtracting the first list of %'s from 100 you come up with 18.2% left, which would not be good. I am not sure if there is another to figure or not, hopefully some of the more experienced folks will chime in soon.

    I was looking at ZiwiPeak today, thinking of trying their canned foods, the have an air dried food, that shows to have only have carbs anywhere from 6% - 10.6% depending on the flavor. Ingredients sound very good also.

    I too read the ingredients and thought great! I got a sample. Heff loved it! His BG spiked big time.

    Sigh! I'm sorry to hear it's not a low-carb food. Another dry food option would be nice.

    Chickpeas is your first clue - they're a high carb legume and cheaper than meat/poultry/fish.
