Little dude was hangin' out at 94. He is actually walking completely normal today. I am still trying very hard not to get too excited. Things are never this easy and I have never seen a cat with one foot in the grave turn around like this. I am shocked.

This is probably going to amount to a seriously dumb question, but I am going to ask it anyway.

He tested 66 at +4. I know it is still a good number and I am not.worried about that. Do I need to worry about hypos in a cat who doesn't get insulin, though? Have you ever seen them go in the other direction where chronic low blood sugar is an issue sans insulin?

No insulin = no hypo unless kitty has some other health issue like an insulinoma that secretes extra insulin. Some non diabetic kitties run low naturally - eg. in the 40s.

    Thank you!
So to clarify - if I see an asymptomatic 40, I shouldnt immediately freak out.
