    Hello,

Last time Alfred was at the vet they drew blood for a GI panel. His cobalamin is normal but his folate is high. Vet says that usually means an overgrowth of bacteria in the intestines.

I'll be starting him on antibiotics and being more consistent with daily probiotics.

He has been eating decently (anti-jinx) and his poops are normal, no diarrhea.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with a cat with high folate levels?

One other thing that can cause high folate levels:

"Hemolized blood samples can give inaccurately high folate readings in both dogs and cats."

I don't know if this is a possibility but you can ask if there was any chance the blood specimen was compromised.
