OMG my newly dx cat is eating

    Before River ended up in the ER last weekend with DKA — pre-diagnosis — she was barely touching any of her food.

    Now that she's home she was nibbling at the dry food we still had, and just tonight I went to Petco and got a bunch of wet food. I opened a can of Fancy Feast Classic Pate with beef and holy sh*t she's EATING.

    Not just nibbling and pushing it around with her nose, CHOWING DOWN!!! I need to consult The Great Dietary Spreadsheet™ to make sure I'm hitting all the marks with the low carbs, but right now I could just about die I'm so happy.

    That's wonderful!!….and the Fancy Feast beef is just fine!!

    Most cats really love Fancy Feast...and luckily, the "classics" (pates) are all low carb too!
