    Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share what I believe to be the best lancets on the market:

    BD Ulta-Fine 33 Gauge Lancets.

They fit into my lancing device that came with my One Touch Ultra Mini and will work with all BD lancing devices. These guys are HALF the size of both the One Touch lancets I have used and the generic kind I've gotten (cheaper too). The needle looks like an insulin syringe needle it is so small. Ollie's been diabetic for 2 years and we have been home testing for 2 years and his ears are a bit of a wreck as of late. These lancets are saving our butts (and ears)!

Just thought I'd pass along....have a great Blue/Green Day everyone!!!

Those are really fine gauge (small) lancets.

Unfortunately, what works for you may not work for others.

We usually tell Newbies to get WalMart's Reli-On lancet device with FINE (not Ultra-Fine)
    lancets.

Then go from there. If getting blood from your kitty is easy, use the finest lancets.
If it's difficult, slightly bigger lancets might work better.

It's always better to get blood easily, with one poke, than to do multiple pokes.

Smaller lancets sometimes require multiple pokes, for some kitties. In that case
the larger lancet might be better.

Thanks for the info...it's always good to know our options.

These are the ones I use and are great! When newbies get the hang of testing, they might want to switch to these.
