I got this email from customer service at Arkray, the maker of the Glucocard01 Sensor (which uses the same strips as the Confirm/Micro)

So if you have a Confirm/Micro and need strips, you can get them from ADW

Good Morning Chris,

Thank you for contacting ARKRAY USA Technical Customer Service. I just want to inform you and hopefully you can pass this along to others because we have had a few people contacting us regarding the same issue. There are no plans at time to discontinue the Glucocard 01 the meter and supplies will continue to be available. If the rumors are based off the discontinuation of the Relion Micro and Confirm meters they are not related. Relion meters are exclusive to Walmart and not to the Glucocard meters which is the ARKRAY brand. Please let people know that the Relion Confirm/Micro plus strips may not be available in the Walmart stores but they are available to order online at Walmart.com. I’m very happy that there are a lot of people out there that do like our products and I completely understand that the smaller blood sample is very important especially when dealing with Cat/Dog diabetes. Hopefully this answers your concerns and the concerns of others out there. Again thank you for contacting us and please share with others that may have the same concerns.

Kind Regards,

Yay! I think. It may be an issue shipping strips in the heat of summer. I received the 4 boxes I ordered yesterdsy but it has been coolish here so I wasn't worried about it but, in July, and if they sit in the mailbox it might compromise them. You can have them shipped to Wal-Mart and pick them up from the store.

Only as long as they're available on Walmart.com

Once they're gone there, we'll have to order from ADW

There shouldn't be any problem with ordering strips in the summer/winter....I've ordered them year round and they work just fine. It's not like insulin where it degrades if it gets too hot.

They're packaged in foil and then inside the foil they're in a plastic container so it's not a problem

Not sure I would risk it.

I ordered strips in the summer for the time Max was with me and never had a problem. I wouldn’t worry about that.

I know NJ isn’t as hot as TX, but I always had my strips shipped to our house, as well as everything else (meds, food, etc). With my schedule I have no time to go to the stores, so I always order everything online, and nothing has melted LOL. They even left the stuff outside all day for us to bring inside when we got home. Everything worked just fine.

Walmart still has the 50ct boxes of the Confirm/Micro online at https://www.walmart.com/ip/ReliOn-Confirm-Micro-Blood-Glucose-Test-Strips-50-Ct/13396848

Has anyone ordered any of these from walmart.com lately? I wonder if 4/30/2020 is the expiration...that is the latest of the expiration dates when I found these on clearance last year. They are only $14.98 for 50ct, so paying $29.96 for 100 instead of $36.10 (or $32.49 with 10% off coupon) at ADW is certainly desirable -- IF they don't expire in April. But I'd rather plunge a sharp stick in my eye than try to figure out how to contact someone intelligent at walmart.com that could actually answer this question for me... o_O

I would be very cautiois wotj regard tp isomg the the Arkray strips in a Relion meter. Just because the same company manufactures the meter and strips, dosen't mean they are identical. Read Chris' note carefully:
If the rumors are based off the discontinuation of the Relion Micro and Confirm meters they are not related. Relion meters are exclusive to Walmart and not to the Glucocard meters which is the ARKRAY brand.

Rather than risk it, I would encourage people to get an Arkray meter.
