Jake is an 8 year old Tonkinese. He was diagnosed about 10 days ago. Fructosamine was @ 400. We are starting on wet, low carb food and started checking blood sugars at home. 397 yesterday afternoon, 350 this morning. No insulin yet. We're hoping the change in diet will bring the sugars down. I'm a nurse so understand how diabetes works in humans, not so much for cats. I'm hoping to get him in remission quickly!

So pretty! Don't wait too long to start the insulin. The sooner the better. We are here for you.
