How long between the +11.75 and the AMPS? That's a big jump right at the end, but it shows that the insulin is working well to hold her numbers down a bit.

Woohoo!!! There you go, pretty girl! Way to make your daddy proud!

This morning started out later than normal. After 2 stores later and a new battery followed by a new glucose meter...ugh.
Oh no! What a way to start the morning!

Try to get a mini curve today if you can: a couple of tests in the +4 to +8 range. She seems to nadir around +7 on average. I like the increase in yellow PSs both AM and PM.

Good call on the dose reduction!

Looking good today, Phoebe...except that bouncy ending!!!!

Whoa, Phoebe! That was dramatic! Despite that PMPS, it's good to see her getting some time in greens. `
Even if it did make her liver freak out a little bit. The more time she spends in healthy numbers, the more she'll get used to it.
Yes very dramatic indeed!

More drama in store for today Phoebe?
Phoebe purring like a lawnmower this morning! Phoebe and I would like to wish all the Mom's and FurMom's out there a Happy Mother's Day!!

Huh. That was unexpected. I wonder if she went lower overnight, or if the 2.25 wasn't enough insulin?
I think she definitely went lower overnight. I should of did some readings but I wanted to give her ear a break.

Great job shooting on a lower number tonight, and grabbing that +2 to make sure she wasn't diving. And so nice seeing her getting several hours in the blues!

I assume you mean no shot this AM?

No holding her shot till I got a higher number.
Sorry for the confusion.

Hooray for Phoebe!!!
What an incredible number for her!!!
Did I do the right thing yesterday by waiting an extra hour to give Phoebe her insulin or should I of shot her then at a lower unit?

Phoebe tends to be a little less predictable than some of the kitties around here, so it's hard to say for sure. Ideally, you want to be able to shoot on lower numbers without reducing the dose much. That's what starts to bring the PS numbers down and gives you better duration on the insulin. However, my hunch is that if you had tried to shoot on a 127, Phoebe would have gone too low. If it was me, I think when you got the 233, I would have gone ahead with 2.25u instead of reducing. But it's tough when you're at work all day. It would have been a bit of a gamble, and we do aim for safety when no one is around to give extra food. So while it wasn't ideal, I do think you made the right decision yesterday.
Since you got nearly the same PS today and gave 2.25u it will be a good day to get a couple of tests in around her usual nadir time to see how she does with it. Then you can use that information if she does this again this coming week.
It looks like the insulin keeps her numbers down through +11-+12, and then falls off pretty quickly, so you may start seeing more of those lower PS numbers.
Djamila has given you good advice. Teasel is very unpredictable and I often resort to fat and skinny doses instead of full 0.25 u changes because too much of anything (dose change, frequency of dose change) will send him skyrocketing. You might find a use for fats and skinnies with Phoebe at some point.
I like the increased number of yellow PSs recently!
