    Hi, Kris & Jane.. Welcome Back!! Did you post in Lantus Land? Others will be able to give you some great advice too!
    The +2 should be similar to the preshot #, this is a big drop.. but 283 is still high.. so I don't know how others advise on this.
    I would not be worried, but do post in Lantus Land so you can get good advice.
