we recently found out our cat Niko is diabetic. He’s a big boy just shy of 19 pounds but he always has been big. We are just totally overwhelmed with everything that needs to be done to keep him healthy. We completed numerous Google searches, calling friends and family who have Cats. We were told by the vet you must be on insulin every 12 hours along with changing the food and numerous other things. We are hoping we can find a lot of information on this blog. Thank you

Ps: what do we do when traveling and what does it cost to have a service come in to provide the shots.

Welcome! It is definitely overwhelming in the beginning, but you will get your head around it, and it will become fairly routine. The main health forum is the place for any questions you have. See you there!
