Should I be giving my cat a probiotic? I mean technically I should have a daily probiotic too, but I often fall off the bandwagon.

I'd rather it not be something I have to put down her throat, as I'm sure that isn't a very pleasant experience.

She currently doesn't have any on-going GI issues. She was sick this morning, but that is more than likely linked to her kitty cold.

I don't think most of us give a daily probiotic...I don't, though I'm considering it for other issues my kitty has. I usually only gave something when mine were on ABs to help with any GI upset due to the antibiotic.

I give s. boulardii, because Sam has IBD and probiotics helps with that. I don't know if it's necessary if she doesn't have GI issues, or if it's just generally helpful like it is with us. That might be a good question for the Main forum or Think Tank.
