Has anyone ever given the Dasiquin or Zeel or any other arthritis medicine
by syringe with tuna juice? Does it have a real bad taste?
Is it ok to give it by syringe?

I cannot get Fluffy to take his arthritis medicine mixed with any of his food.
He took it for awhile that way and then he stopped.

He is a 7 year old non-diabetic with severe arthritis due to crushed hips when he was
less than 7months old. I give the Adequin shots but he needs something more as i don't
know if the Adequin is helping.

Dasiquin tastes savory, I taste tested it when Henry(GA) needed. Henry loved it on his raw, so I would say yes, go ahead and syringe it.

Lately, I've been giving Tucker his meds in Soulistic canned cat food, he's been loving it. It's grain free, lots of fish flavors so it must mask the med taste. Maybe your little Fluffy would like it.

haven't given zeel, but i've given traumeel mixed with a little water. it doesn't taste bad, a little sweetish (barely), doesn't trigger a drool-monster appearance.

you could taste a zeel tablet yourself and see how it tastes. hmm. i think i'll go home and lick a zeel tablet tonight; i'll report back

why, what did meowzi tell you?
tip: it is a good idea to comb away the loose fur before grooming a kitty, if you don't want to end up with a mouthful (tongueful?) of fur

Thanks so much Jennifer and choy-foong!

Jennifer i've never seen soulistic cat food. Where did you get it? Maybe Fluffy will take his meds
in that food. I am going broke buying tuna for the tuna juice.

Thanks about the taste of Dasiquin, choy-fong. Don't forget to report back how the
Zeel tastes when you lick it tonite!

it tastes barely sweetish. zeel, that is, not the kitty (that's for dian!)

oh, and i didn't taste dasuquin, jennifer did

you could also try clam juice if he'll eat it. a bottle goes quite a long way if you freeze what's not used.

Oh, thanks Jennifer for the taste of Dasiquin!

I will try the clam juice for sure. That would be so good (and cheaper)if Fluffy will like that.
And thanks for licking the Zeel, choy-foong. Now i won't have to. :D

Tucker loves the Soulistic, he takes potassium and pred in it. I found it at Petco.
