We will be going out of town for 5 days. Our cat normally gets her insulin at 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Our son will be sitting with our animals but he must leave for work at 6:30 a.m. and will be gone until about 6:00 p.m. Can I change Beeber's insulin schedule for those 5 days, and if so, how should I go about the change?

yes you can change it. are you home testing? you could skip a dose the night before and let your son start the next morning.

Another alternative would be to move the shot time back by 30 minutes once daily for a few days before you leave so when your son takes over shots they are due at roughly 6:15am and pm to ensure he can shoot before he leaves for work and be home in time to give the evening shot.
