How often can i give 1/2 teaspoon of Miralax to Smokie for constipation?
She is 16 years old and is a diet controlled diabetic.
    Thank you.

1/4 t0 1/2 teaspoon twice per day mixed into canned food.

Add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon water and stir it up into 'soup'.

Miralax works by drawing water from the body tissues into the
colon, softening the stool but not adding bulk. It's not a 'fiber'.

If cat is prone to constipation, and Miralax works, you can continue
    this forever.

Look for generic equivalents at WalMart, CVS, Rite-Aid, Walgreens, etc.

It's cheap and a bottle lasts a long time and keeps forever.
