Hi was considering purchasing a pen next time for moo because of his small doses and the cost. I wanted to know how long it lasts and if it too can be refrigerated like the vial. Does it also last up to six months after refrigeration?

The pen should be refrigerated like the vial. Most people use the pen to the last drop. The pharmacist may tell you it only lasts 28 days, but that is for humans who use it and don't refrigerate it.

Yes, it will last up to 6 months refrigerated. I use every last drop of mine and it's usually around the 6 month mark.

The 28 day guideline is like Carla said, for humans carrying it in their pocketbook or briefcase unrefrigerated.

When I get the pen, are the different guidelines for drawing up a drop? My understanding is that you do not shoot air into the pen vial.
