thanks... this is what it calculated to - but I have NO clue what it means

Calories per 100g of food: 77
Calories per ounce of food: 22
Dry Matter Carbohydrates:* (%) 23

We try to keep the calories from carbohydrates less than 10%.
Take the dry matter for protein, fat, and carb and multiply each as follows:
3.5 calories per gram of protein
8.5 calories per gram of fat
3.5 calories per gram of carbohydrate
Divide each of these by the total calories to get percent.

Yeah... i dont understand hte "dry matter" i have the dry matter of carbs only.

this is total confusion for me

I used to feed the kitten formulation, and I actually had better control with this food than others I've tried that are lower carb (food allergies? I dunno). The kitten is the lowest carb of the Chicken Soup foods. Still has probably 15-20% carbs.

Yeah its fine. This food was a good compromise when I was transitioning from dry food. I know it's not the lowest carb food, but we needed something better than dry that fit the budget, and this food is really reasonable.

The place we get it from no longer carries it : ( I researched other foods that are lower cost, and Trader Joe's varieties are good, ~$0.89/can, the innova is good - ~ $1.25/can. Natural balance can be bought for cheap online, but my cat was allergic.
