What do you use for meters and strips?

Thank you to those that helped with the oil slick question yesterday.

Vet said I could trade it for a new one and when I went to do so, vet tech found the new (in package) meter was similar. The clinic meter was similar. So, tech encouraged me to take my meter home.

Wrong decision. I don't trust it and we were at erDVM last night. I didn't know what his reading was. The stress from the visit is messing with his health today.

    Control 6.23 155
    Control 142

When tested against Er bg reading it was off.

    Company literature says +/- 5%
Customer service says +/- 20% (per some that have called)

Vet will vet a call Monday.

+/- 20% is not okay when making life decisions for my cat.

    Thank you for your information.
