? shot against the bone?

    Doesnt happen often but i think i did tonight,i try to give her shots in diffrent areas of the sruff i may have poked a bone bc she meowed like ouch that hurt,is this ok? shot still good? anything i shouild watch for??

    You probably just hit a sore spot....the needles on insulin syringes are so short, it'd be almost impossible to hit a bone if you're tenting the skin

    very possible,but WHAT IF you do hit the bone when giving a shot???

    Someone may know, I've never heard of this but anything is possible. Are you tenting? How long is the needle? Where are you injecting?

    It might hurt, but it shouldn't effect the insulin

    tenting in the scruff always, i try and move around the scruff for diffrent shots all the time

    ive always used the scruff, never anywhere else, im about half afraid to try any where else as she is so used to the scruff and im not sure other areas would hurt??

    I always shot in the side of the belly while Idjit was eating, he never noticed. I alternated sides.

    The scruff freaks me out, too close to the spinal cord. Noah lays on his side and I tent him on his flank.
