Well after a long weekend of vomiting, diarrhea and lethargy smoosh was taken to the vet on Tuesday morning. He was kept all day and poked and prodded. What it came down to was another 1/2 lbs dropped, a blood sugar of 321, pancreatitis and a large bill. But we did learn that smoosh is not ready for insulin, he was given one unit there and it dropped too fast and to low for her to want to start on any regimine yet. Our plan now is a change to hills w/d and monitor how things go. He has 9 more days of antibiotics and pain mess, so were just keeping our fingers crossed he turns around. So far he seems to be doing much better. Thanks again for everyone's insight!

Argh! Not the W/D! The carb level is too high.

Please go to veterinarian-written Cat Info to read more about appropriate nutrition for an obligate carnvore. (Hint: ever see a cat running to a corn field for an ear of corn?)
