So we got a blue preshot number this morning with Oscar. I fed him and tested 20 min later to confirm it was a rising number. Shot the normal amount because with low preshots we have a history of zooming or giving an inverse curve. Filled the automatic feeder and went to work this morning. Came home at +6 and tested both kitties. Oscar was at 53  and Yoda was at 93   . That's our first green number for Yoda, and our first low number for Oscar in a while. We started a round of amoxacillin drops last night because Oscar may have the beginnings of a URI. He started coughing out of the blue yesterday 2 different times and I had to give him albuterol. Maybe this antibiotic will pull double duty and help out with these BG #s! He hasn't shown any sign of an infection, but I guess you never really know.

    Beauti-licious colors!

Curious what the specialist said. Did I miss it? Did she say stay the course, or is there an insulin switch in your future?

I think I would get confused with two insulins, and the doses are so similiar too. I'm always amazed that I haven't poked my civvie cat by mistake. In the beginning he was always hovering around, wondering what Buddha was getting that he was missing out on. I remember I used to pretend to give him a shot too, so his feelings wouldn't be hurt.

Small jump in numbers at +2 tonight for Oscar (276) and a whammy of a zoom for Yoda (418) - I can tell Yoda is not used to seeing greens!

We have not heard back from our specialist since she is on vacation and gets back on Monday. My email with the update for her didn't get pulled until I called in on Thursday and she had already left.

What nice news to come home to today! Yay for green numbers! I hope this is the beginning of better numbers for Oscar. It does look like a breakthrough, with another nice blue ps# tonight.

My asthmatic kitty is coughing too, must be something in the air!
