Scratches had quite the scare the other night when her bg dropped to 41. Since then I skipped a day and a half on the insulin bc she didn't rise as much as I'd like. Started back up with half unit (went from 2 to .5) as I was advised if I wasn't going to be home to watch her to drop it to .5 for a few days. I updated her ss. This morning she is at 217. I have to work at nine so I can't stay home to monitor.

Update. Now it's saying 295. She's going to have breakfast now.

Sorry no one got to you sooner. I see on the SS you gave 0.5 units insulin.

Yes. Idk if the first strip was wonky but the second read 295 so I went ahead and gave her the shot. I'm not sure .5 is enough, but I figure I can stick with that a couple days then see what everyone thinks and go from there. Can always go up if needed. I don't want another night like we had the other night. So scary.

It's 236 at +2, so I'm comfortable enough to leave her while I go to work.

I’d leave out some food for her to graze on while you are gone.

Always do! I come home on lunch around +5 every day to check her again anyway. Thank you!

Yes good idea to stick with 0.5 units for a few days. . You can go up to 0.75 if it’s not enough.
