I live about an hour away from K-State and I tried to get my newly diagnosed stage 2 CKD civvie enrolled, but he was excluded because he has asthma and has need of steroids for treatment from time to time. :( He is currently only on inhaled steroids and I hope to never have to use other types of steroids, but his asthma is pretty bad so it's possible.

My vet, who graduated from K-State, was glad to see this research study because she said that the total amount of feline research really lags far behind the amount of research done for dogs.
