I have read take up food 2 hours before testing? That it would raise their numbers
Wondering how much it could be raised if i did not? Should I really do it if I want him to gain weight? I appreciate any advise!

The reason for this direction is strictly safety. You take pre-shot tests to ensure it is safe to give insulin so you don't want the pre-shot reading to be food influenced. The degree to which food would raise BG would depend on a number of factors including the size of meal, type of food and your kitty's metabolism.
Laura I just noticed you've posted on the Intro Board. If you have further questions regarding this, please re-post over in Health Forum Thx. :)
