? The B12 injections . How to work out the correct dose please?

    So. I have been giving the B12 subq but it has occurred to me to try and check what is considered the correct dosage.

    Is it by body weight? Ty is presently very under weight at 4.6kg. That is just around 10lbs.

    It is not a concern that I might give too much. Rather that it might be too little week on week.

    We did her weight x2, she weighs abut 12 pounds so we did 25, just to round up. We use the insulin syringes, so like giving 25 units. Does that make sense? :)

    I'm not sure. :smuggrin:

    Ty is 10lbs. I am given 1ml syringes and give .25 once a week.


    ums....edit....

    I think I only gave 1.5 last week in error. :oops: Likely explains the poo issue.
