The Royal Grandpa Returns

Whew! After a wormy, worrisome week, the feisty old warrior has once again emerged to rule his home kingdom.

Thanks to all who sent healing vines and well wishes. We have formed a habit of trying several cans of food at mealtime to see what might appeal. This morning I pulled three partial cans from the fridge to make the morning offering. Before long two of the three cans were empty and he was working his way through the third. I intervened before he popped.

He had an appointment with our favorite vet today, and it was awesome to see her grin as she proclaimed him a miracle. He has an ear infection so we will work on that. He's gained about 3/4 of a pound.

I should've known he was preparing to regain his throne when he snatched the royal play toy from my hands last night.

Not half as cute, but here's our rescued little ones after their shots today. These guys and gal were about 10 days old when we took them in.
