I had two exciting days in Lantus Land and he's bouncing (relatively) mildly today. If anyone here is wondering about Lantus for their kitty watch our exploits. You all know how tricky Teasel is.

Kris, if you add the meter variance you could pretend his 308 is really a 2 something. :) Go Teasel.

Started really well today and then found his trampoline - I thought I'd hidden it well. o_O Still seeing signs of improvement on Lantus though.

Back up to 3 u tonight as per suggestion from one of the L&L experts.

I'm watching your progress and honestly starting to wonder if Chuck would do better on Lantus too... But doesn't it sting at higher doses like Chucks? (5 units)

I don't know, Steph. It is acidic and people with high dose kitties often opt for Levemir because of that. So far, Teasel's 3 u doses haven't bothered him.

Some mild ups and downs at his 3 u dose. So far, I think his bouncing is less pronounced and he's able to sustain a good run of numbers longer. Still erratic but he's still Teasel! ;)

Another info bit on Lantus: I have to keep that depot in the back of my mind all the time when judging the response to a dose - is it full? is it filling? Because of it there's a time lag before you see the effect of a dose. It's like things are happening in a sort of slow motion way compared to ProZinc. This can mean that you have to monitor more.
