trouble setting up a spreadsheet

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this - but I'm trying to set one up according to the instructions, and I can't get past #4 - I can't make a copy. I get the right window, rename the file, and click to save it to my drive, but it doesn't copy or save. Nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
