I had to up Oscar's insulin from 1.5 to 2 per injection as his numbers were high. If they continue to be high, how long would I wait before I upped it again? I want to be prepared for the possibility.

It's great that you're home testing. Do you test Oscar's BG before you give him his insulin? I see in your signature that you test before feeding. It's hard to suggest how to proceed without seeing Oscar's BG history but I'd say that going from 1.5 to 2.0 units is a big jump at such a low dose. High numbers can mean a dose is too low or it can mean Oscar is overreacting to lowered BG levels. We call it bouncing.
It might be better to only increase .5 u. If you have syringes with 1/2.u markings, you might want to increase or decrease by .25 u. I would wait several days before changing doses. It takes time fot their little bodies to adjust to the changes.
