Hi guys - I just tested Lola and her bG = 8.6 mmol/L (155 mg/dL). I then retested and it was 9.2 mmol/L (165 mg/dL). That’s pretty low for her (she was fed wet food by my husband 25 mins ago) - I would usually expect ~12 mmol/L (~215 mg/dL). Although I’ve given insulin at 9.6 before and she’s been fine, so maybe I’m overreacting? She’s being tested with a Freestyle Insulinx and is on 1 unit ProZinc insulin every 12 hours.

Is it safe to give the 1 unit insulin based on this value? Need to know ASAP whether I should proceed with the shot...

Based on advice in the ProZinc forum, I’ve given 1 unit. Will do a spot check at +2 or +3. :)
