How much weight gain is OK for an OTJ kittie ? Now that Tucker has been OTJ for 2 months, he's gained about 2+ pounds. I think he looks great now, with some meat on his hips and shoulders. He feels nice and solid at about 12 pounds and looks years younger. He pretty much free feeds.
HOWEVER....... how much weight gain is too much? Anybody out there keep records for kitties who have gained weight and how much?
It seems FD mostly starts in older cats, so is the "couple of pounds" good for them in their golden years?
Your opinions and comments/observations are appreciated!

You want to keep your cat in a normal weight range. There is a correlation between diabetes and obesity. However, many cats lose weight before they are regulated. Once a cat is regulated, it's fine if they get their weight back to a normal range.
