Are there any wet cat food options for diabetic cats that are safe besides the DM? My Riley's tummy has been gurgling lately and he seems gassy. He's been on the wet and dry DM since his diagnosis in Feb, but lately I've noticed his stomach noises.

A note of caution... If you remove dry food from your cat's diet and are giving insulin, you must be testing his blood glucose levels. Almost all dry food (even the DM) has too many carbs for a diabetic kitty so switching it out can lower insulin requirements (sometimes dramatically). You should transition off the dry food slowly and monitor while you are doing this. An all wet diet is recommended not only for diabetic control but it's also better for kidney function and urinary health (lower phosphorous is better if your cat has had any kidney or bladder problems).
