I have a nearly full bottle of insulin which I purchased for my cat, she died September 4th. Not from the diabetes but other conditions. Is there anything useful to do with insulin or any way to recoup some of the cost? It sure is expensive stuff so I thought there must be something rather than leaving it in the refrigerator. I am not sorry I bought it, she needed it for a month. I live in Maryland if that helps with ideas, thanks.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.

Most likely you can find someone in your area that can use that insulin. As you say, it's expensive, so if you're willing to sell it at a reduce amount, I'll bet there'd be a taker or two. Likewise any other supplies you have left over.
