Do you buy yours over the internet or from your Vet.
My Vet won't sell a vial to me.
    thanks,

    1800petmeds.com

If you price shop it online, 800petmeds will match anyone's price. And they are super nice to talk to. During every conversation they ask, "and how is (fill in the pet's name) doing today".

I always bought mine from my vet. Wherever you buy it, online or not, you will need a prescription.

    Thanks ya'll
Hillary, i forgot to ask what you pay for it.
They have the vials that are 100mg/5ml at petmeds.
I pay the Vet $10.00 for a .3ml injection; so this should be a better bargin.
I am stretched to the limit .

    Thanks Vickie.

My Vet says it has to be Equine Adequan for a cat. not canine.
    Have you ever heard that?

I actually didn't buy it as it turned out not to be recommended for Sydney. I price shopped it online, then called petmeds and asked them to match, which they did. Sorry, I can't recall the cost for it.

Now if you were to ask about methamazole or prednisolone - that I can tell you.....

Yikes, that isn't right. Gandalf has been using Adequan for 2 1/2 years and it's the Canine type. Says so right on the bottle. I don't know what the difference is between it and Equine, but the concentration might be and that is worrisome. Does anyone know the differences?

Adequan Canine is used off-label for cats, but has been used so for quite a while now.

I am starting Adequan next week and am very interested in your findings. My vet was going to use the Canine version. My cat, Kitty, will be the first cat she has every admisitered it too. I continued to ask her about using it for Kitty's arthritis and she finally agreed we could try it. I have read some really positive results with it---but, I want to be sure we are using the correct type.

Looking forward to your vet's comments.
