I got info from the Wild Callings company for the new cat food line....
But I don't know how to do the math calculations....

I did send the link to Dr. Lisa too so she could maybe add it to the food chart.

Could you provide it as an attachment? Google Docs is being fussy and wants everyone to set up a gmail account before doing anything.

I looked more at the link. It appears the file is stored in an e-mail account, not as a separate document in Google Docs.
    That may be the problem.
Try saving the document to disk, then uploading it to your google docs. Share it and post the sharing link.

The calculation are easy. For the cat buffolo you divide the calories for carbs (115.2) by total calories (1414.4) and convert to %. You get 8.1% if calories are from carbs,.

I've added it as an attachment as well.

Looks like the % calories from carbs are:
    Buffalo: 8.1%
    Pheasant: 0%
    Chicken: 5.1%
    Beef: 1.0%
    Salmon: 0.3%
    Duck: 1.2%
    Rabbit: 0.1%

Can someone please explain to me, I am confused looking at these numbers, 1400+ calories? is that, per pound or something? The proteins/fats/carbs numbers I can't figure out either, is that grams? per.. pound? And, whats the point of adding those three (p/f/c) together in that manner? What does that resulting answer represent? It doesn't appear to be percentages.

    /feels dumb

Slightly edited the forumulas in the spreadsheet - For cat and dog foods, the calorie values per gram are different from humans.

Protein: 3.5 calories (4.25 for humans)
Carbohydrate: 3.5 calories (4.25 for humans)
Fat: 8.5 calories (9 for humans)

I also added rows for % of calories from each of those.

Those numbers were for total calories in a can, I believe, or else in a particular weight or volume.
