Good morn all. Bronx was put on a 7-day antibiotic. His BG levels are high & pretty flat in the black and red so the last thing I want is to increase those numbers. Vet put him on this because she saw protein in the urine from office test but full results won't be back in a few days to know for sure if he has a UTI. He's never had a UTI ever. Thanks!

My non-diabetic kitty is on Clavamox right now for dental issues. It is banana flavored and has a slightly sweet taste (I tested it). So it wouldn't surprise me if it raises BG.

I don't know if they add something for the flavor (or why for that matter), but if I were giving it to a diabetic kitty I would contact the vet and see if yours is flavored and if you can get it without the flavoring.

Then I would expect it is not flavored. But it can't hurt to ask the vet.
