Well Babygirl will not eat, just a few bits. Scared to give her insulin, Novilin that is, without food in her belly. What now? nailbite_smile

Did you tests her glucose - what is it? (My phone won't open it.)
Smell her breath - is it sweet or like nail polish remover? If yes and glucose is high, and she seems lethargic, she could have ketones. When in doubt, see a vet.

Note that appetite does reduce some when you start getting control of the glucose.

Things to enccourage eating that you might be ble to do now:
    15-20 min of active play
Warming food up to baby bottle temp (test on your wrist)
    Sprinkled Parmesan cheese

Things to try when you've had time to get them:
Forti Flora, a probiotic in an animal digest base. Many cats find it tasty.
Tuna water - juice from a can of Trader Joe's tuna for cats, or a water- packed, NO veggie (often onions can kill a cat) broth.

    Appetite stimulant from vet.
1/4 of a Pepcid AC if the problem might be acid stomach.

You can also try adding some parmesan cheese on top of her food.

Squeaker really likes FortiFlora. You can also use grated parmesan cheese. Or try mixing some baby food meat into the food. Be sure to read the label and make sure that it is just the meat and broth. I use Beech Nut.

I use FortiFlora also and I can vouch for it..all six of my cats absolutely love it. If they leave food on their plates,I sprinkle a little on and they clean their plates!
