Would you rather have a koala or a kangaroo for a pet?

    Finally an easy one!
Koala. They are so cute. Did you ever see the pictures of the Koala that was given water out of a water bottle during their forest fires last year? It was precious. The poor things were hot and dying of thirst.

I hadn't seen the photo but I found it online and it is SO CUTE!! :) Here it is if anyone else wants to look: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/greensp ... s-hea.html

I think my answer depends on outside space. Assuming that I have a big enough yard/farm, I would go with kangaroo. If I had a smaller yard, I would pick koala.

    What do kangaroos eat, Michele?

Koala for sure. Kangaroos are bigger than me thus very dangerous :)

of course, the benefit to having a kangaroo is you could hitch rides but then again, you'd have to go wherever the kangaroo wanted to take you, not necessarily where you wanted to go.

Koala without question--kangaroos are huge and they kick.

I think it would be neat to have a kangaroo hopping around the yard. Might keep my Australian drooler in line too. And think, less pruning to do in the spring. Win, win, win.

I would have to go with koala, my house is too cramped for a kangaroo.
Koalas are too cute, but those claws kinda scare me. I guess I could use hot pink nail polish on them--always wanted to do that with my drooler:)

I think they are omnivores. Koalas eat only eucalyptus. *That* would be difficult to supply!

There's eucalyptus all over the place here in SoCal, BUT I think they only eat a very specific kind of eucalyptus [not the kind that one sees growing around here].

Wikipedia says they eat 680 varieties of eucalyptus, so hey what do I know? ... very little obviously lol

One diabetic cat is enough pets for me.
