Today is the last day of the Clavamox, hallelujah!
I put a packet of Forti Flora on the food this morning right after I gave her shot; she started chowing down once she smelled it. I suspect she may not have been eating much due to the drastic switch in food. Hopefully, this will kick her appetite up a notch.
The food was gone by early evening, so either she, Tux, and Mason had help from the athletic younger cats, or she ate more. I vote for the latter as more water had been drunk too (increased food -> increased glucose -> increased thirst).
I stopped by a Pet People store and picked up a tiny bag of Stella and Chewy's and a small bag of Evo Cat and Kitten dry. She has to eat, so I'll try sprinkling bits of these over the food.
When I did her meds tonight, I started with a pinch of the Stella and Chewy's food to get her to come to me. She seemed to like it. She grumbled about the shot and it took about 4 tries to pill her but I finally got it in (last one!) I sprinkled a bit more of the fresh food put down and she started eating some as I left her in peace.
Tux is upstairs with me, watching some TV.
