In Gracie, the ProZinc weems to quickly.wear off after +10, so I'm experimenting with modifying TID dosing. She seems better when she doesn't go up over 300 mg/dL.

I've had a couple of days to see what happens if I give Gracie a booster when I get home about +10 and then shoot about +14 from the morning shot. It appears to make the next morning pre-shot lower, which makes sense as it is only +10 from the last shot of the evening.

Next experiment: shooting the booster at +10 and then shooting at the regular time (+12 from the am dose).

I actually shot Cassie TID for a while in the beginning. Eventually his cycle stretched out to a normal length, so keep a close eye. If you start seeing significant overlap you may need to switch back to BID.

Re: Gracie 12/30/2013

She's working on a furball and may not be eating as much. *sigh*

Lowish this morning - 175.

May need to do some vaseline for the furball.

Simon's dose of prozinc did not seem to last the entire 12 hours in the early days either. I was thinking of switching to lantus or levemir for a while but stuck with it and then all of a sudden, the dose started to last longer and he had true +6 nadirs like we expected he should.

It takes a while, but sooner or later, the cycle goes longer and by that AMPS number, it may have begun already!

Happy New Year BJ and Gracie! party_cat drinking24

Based on the fur loss and coughin, I think the low number is related to a fur ball and not eating much. I did give her a smidge of vaseline last night and will continue as needed.
