Awesome, awesome cycle last night :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: thanks to Carl's inspired new (not for the faint of heart) scale.

I did tinker with it again...so currently it is 250-300: 2.4u, 300-350: 2.6u, 350+: 2.8u. Since the dose worked so well for last night's pre-shot, I want to dose a smidge more to try to get good results for this AM's 325. No idea what to do with pre-shots under 250, or over 350. Will cross that bridge when we get there but 2.4u was PERFECT for the 250 pre-shot last night. AND this AMPS isn't sky high! Is it possible Eddie's not going to bounce (badly) from his coast in the greens last night? I couldn't be more pleased. :-D

AMPS = 325 (2.6u)
+4 = 171
+5 = 152
+6 = 159
+7 = 139
PMPS = 245 (2.4u)
+4 = 256 (?)
+6 = 210
+7 = 205

I sort of think I should change my signature to say "custom dosing not for the faint of heart". ;-)

Happy Superbowl Sunday today!

Glad it worked well. Told you Carl was the brave one.

I'm glad Carl chimed in on Eddie's dosing. :smile: D I think a more gradual approach definitely works better for some cats, and evidently, a more aggressive approach works better for some kitties (with a diligently testing bean). I've been reading up on glucose toxicity and how hanging in high numbers on a dose for too long can cause a bit of temporary induced resistance, and I wonder if that maybe was going on with Eddie and he needed a "punch" to get unstuck. It also occurred to me that since we started monitoring, he's gained a fair amount of weight, so presumably a higher dose is necessary because he's got more body mass.

I'm a Vikings fan, so...yeah. :roll: My poor DH is a die hard Vikings fan and every year, they break his purple heart.

Looks like last night went well after I signed off! Jen, I did the same sort of tweaking within the ranges of the scale when the preshot was right around the middle of two dose amounts. There's a lot of "feel" involved when you use a scale.

Because I am a Pats fan, I'm obligated to cheer for the Seahawks tonight and hoping to catch the 2nd half after getting off work.
