Need Dog Diabetes help!

Hi All -
I have not been on here in a long time. My Marmalade, now 15 years old, is doing quite well thanks to all the wonderful stuff I learned on this site.
But, I need info on DOG diabetes. One of my friends in Los Angeles CA has the cutest, little, white, fluffy dog, who was just diagnosed as diabetic. Anyone know of a great site like this one, but for dogs?? Also, it has been awhile since I was on here...I can't remember the wonderful vet's name that is on here....is it Dr Lisa (something??) and isn't she in LA? I need a recommendation for a vet who knows about canine diabeties ASAP.
