HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
I have to wonder if part of her preshot this morning is the stress from last night. Last night I went to test her and I noticed that her back end felt wet...it was wet alright but not in a good way (is there a good way for a cat to have a wet butt?) But this was that wonderful stinky wet  So instead of doing a quick test and rolling over to go to sleep, I got to wash a very unhappy and very fluffy cat. She was so mad at me by the time she was clean and smelling sweet again that she refused to sleep with us last night instead she went and slept in her little box bed that she hasn't used since the first week she came to live with us  Although this morning she did come and cuddle daddy...I'm still persona non grata, or at least I was until I produced breakfast, then I got a couple head butts and a little purr out of her
Even if she did still give me the stink eye while she was eating.
To make matters worse, we had to get up an hour earlier this morning so I could drop DH off at work so his crew could leave early to go out of town for the week, weather kept them home yesterday so my Valentine's morning was spent rolling out of bed at 5:30 am after rolling into bed at nearly midnight , fending off 14 starving cats because it wasn't breakfast time yet and trying to fry bacon to feed the humans before taking my Valentine off to work and waving good-bye for the week, then racing back home to test feed and shoot. Ironically I'm actually happy to see her in the low 300s because that should ensure that she will stay in safe numbers for me to go crawl back into bed for while this morning!
After having to bathe her last night I really envy those of you with short haired single coated cats...you just haven't lived until you have to bathe a poopy pissed off persian posterior  Also really glad she doesn't have front claws as tightly as she had her front paws clamped on my arm while I was trying to clean her up and blow her dry last night..lol
