Nadia had her first blue PS this morning thanks to her second dosecrease to 1u. I am very proud of her!

The interesting thing is that her +11 was significantly higher= 261. I don't normally get a +11 but the times that I have it is usually higher than the PS number. Sometimes by a significant amount. Does anyone have an easy way to explain what this might mean? Does it have something to do with her depot?

Nadia is chowing down her breffis as we speak and says hello to you all. She talked me into getting a timed feeder with an ice pack this morning from Amazon. Seems easier than frozen food at night which she doesn't seem to be a fan of anyway.

What you're seeing may be a double dip. This happens after your cat's nadir. Numbers go up and there's a dip back down. Another possibility depends on when you're feeding Nadia. If she's getting food later in the cycle, the food may be stimulating her pancreas to produce insulin which, in turn, brings numbers down.

Thanks, Sienne. I'm still a little confused about the dips. So the second dip she takes would be at +12? Because her +11 is usually significantly higher than her +12 (ps) number, for example today her PM +11 was 261 then just an hour later at AMPS it was 199.

Also, while we do leave LC food out for her at night, DH is good about taking it away before he leaves for work which is more than 2 hours prior to her PS. Could food still affect the +11 beyond 2 hours? It fascinates me because I would think her 11+ would be lower than her PS, but it seems to be consistently higher when I do check! You are such a wealth of information here as I learn. Thank you.

Congrats on the first blue PS! It's nice Nadia is coming down gradually so you can shoot a little lower every time without getting some really surprising number that makes you wonder what you should do about shooting. Very well-behaved of her :lol:
