Good morning, LL
!
Sending much love and light to (((Ann))) today ~ and healing vines to Jupe, Shasta, and anyone else in need.
Ripley is doing great today. Good appy, nice big poo, squawky, feeling like a ninja (story to follow...).
She slept by me all night ~ must've known I needed the snuggles.
Yesterday's sadness was another reminder to enjoy every moment with our kitties.
Speaking of enjoying every moment, all of our the kitties must've had an amazing, sweet night last night remembering and honoring their dear friend Maggie. Ripley keeps talking about the stars and singing and eating and laughing and hugging and reminiscing... sweet kitties.
This morning while I was preparing to t/s/f Ripley, I noticed it was rather quiet (no squawking, no paper-shredding... weird). I searched all over our tiny house, and couldn't find her. Finally I grabbed a flashlight and went outside ~ there she was, waiting outside the door, squawking. She must've escaped while I let our drooler Marley outside for his morning 'tinkle.'
Ripley was outside for a few minutes, I'm sure chomping madly away at grass blades, knowing it was only a matter of moments before I came looking for her. She managed to eat 5 blades of grass; she threw them up about a minute after coming back inside, each intact, without bite marks. She must've inhaled them  . Luckily I had a feeling there'd be some pukus, so stalled the feeding for a few minutes. By the time we were ready for t/s/f, she was purring up a storm (and she's not much of a purrer); she must've been so thrilled that she got to sneak outside.
I could tell she was pretty proud of herself.
Maybe she wanted to catch the last glimpse of Maggie's star before the sun came up.
I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.
Hugs to you all, and scritches to all of your furkiddos
