Yesterday

Would you look at that, blue again I am liking seeing cycles start off in blue, without me needing to stand there watching the cat with high carb and a spoon to foil the dives! Maybe we will see some green a bit later.

It's a cool, rainy day here so it was perfect snuggling-under-the-covers weather this morning. Papaya usually comes out to the living room once I'm up, but she was quite firm about staying under the covers this morning and seemed to think it was the perfect place to spend some quality fluffy-white-tummy-cleaning time. Which makes me wonder why I'm up . . . oh yes, big car trip on Friday to prepare for. I always feel like I'm moving out when I pack to spend a couple weeks with my parents - it's peak garden season and I do more of the preserving than Mom so I take all my big pots, spare jars, dehydrator . . . plus cat stuff, note to self, must not forget LITTER!! The hard part is trying to pack all that while being somewhat sneaky so I don't freak Papaya out. She gets nervous when she senses a trip is in the air! So I'll see what I can do about gradually getting some of it out to the car today.

Better get at it . . . have a good day, everyone, I'll check on some condos later!

Good for you, helping your Mama! Doug loves to have a garden, so we have a deal that I'll help once it gets inside. Unfortunately, we don't have enough space for a large one, so we pretty much eat what we pick...shucks darn ;-)

With the four of us and our chaotic schedules, the cats are unfazed by the comings and goings and could not care less if we're packing the car...unless, it makes us late putting out their food! :smile:

Hi, Libby! You must have quite a busy household - here it's just me and Papaya so she knows exactly what I'm up to! It sounds like a good division of labour you've worked out for your garden! I don't have much space either, and Mom finds canning a bit too much hassle, so she grows it and I put it up . . . works for both of us. (I think I can hear her green beans calling me right now) :lol:

oh how funny is that??? Papaya sounds like she is half dog........very dog like.....only a dog would be super excited about the packing and I assume that Papaya is very leery about it..... :?: she sounds very astute!!!

I loved the photo of her you posted the other day....she is a beauty.

Hi Kelly! Oh, she knows. And is not pleased. cat(2)_steam But I was sneaky today and took things out to the car at intervals. Plus I ended up rearranging some furniture and cleaning while I was home, so hopefully she'll think the activity was not about a trip after all!
