Today he is much higher than yesterday and his morning highs are a little lower now. Is this a bounce? Caused by what? A low I didn't catch last night? Pancreatitis? The salmon treat I gave him last night (fresh grilled salmon which was the high point of his week!).

I asked the vet the same question and she thinks his pancreatitis is affecting his BG and the insulin's ability to control it. If so, he is going to be very difficult to regulate.

I don't think you missed a low. I think he started bouncing off the 127 and he's just continuing his little bounce. Maybe he'll clear tonight.

Quite often when they have pancreatitis and are in pain, the numbers are high and flat. I hope he's feeling ok.

Thanks, Marje. Good to hear. I think he has had pancreatitis troubles today. I gave him bupe and cerenia today. He has been much better and had less pain meds, but today he needed 'em.

Do you mean am I giving him subcutaneous fluids? No. That hasn't been suggested for him. I have done that in the past for other cats who were very ill.

I have seen the primer, thank you.

Ozy eats and drinks very well. I thought fluids were more for when they get dehydrated. Am I missing something? Please advise.

I do think Ozy is feeling much better tonight.
